What is a Commercial Carpenter?

Carpenters measure, saw, level and nail wood and other building materials. They install acoustical ceilings, cabinets and counter tops, siding, raised floors, metal framing, wall partitions, and office furniture systems. These specialized workers install a variety of factory-produced systems and construction materials in commercial buildings, institutional buildings, industrial buildings and public structures.  Carpenters make up the largest single group of skilled workers in the country.
